SneakerFest to Benefit Girls For A Change

SneakerFest to Headline Richmond Fashion Week’s Fall Season

Events Across City Showcase Local Fashion Industry Oct. 5-9

RICHMOND, VA — SneakerFest returns to Richmond Fashion Week this fall, showcasing local artists and giving attendees the opportunity to buy, sell, and trade designer footwear.

Richmond Fashion Week shines a spotlight on the local fashion community, including designers, business owners, artists and creatives. The week concludes with a finale runway show at Dominion Energy Center.

In its 14th year, Richmond Fashion Week is held at venues across the city. It benefits local charities Girls For A Change, NAMI Virginia, and Making Strides of Central Virginia (The American Cancer Society).

“After the response to last year’s first SneakerFest, we knew we had to bring it back,” says Jimmy Budd, executive producer of Richmond Fashion Week. “Celebrating the Richmond sneaker culture is a unique focal point for the week.”

SneakerFest will start Friday, Oct. 7, at Black Iris. It includes an art gallery show featuring several artists during RVA First Fridays. Free to attend, all ages, between 5-9 p.m. A ticketed after party (21+) will follow with live performance and a DJ.

Among sneaker vendors, will be our Thomas Jefferson High School Girl Action Team!
