The Girl Ambassador journey does not end at high school graduation. Our alumnae continue to receive support with internships, mentoring, and education.

In 2024 Subject Matter awarded Girls For A Change $25,000 to launch the Girls For A Change Education Fund, managed by the Community Foundation for Greater Richmond. The fund provides scholarships for continuing education, certifications, and vocational training.

What the Education Fund supports

  • Four-year colleges and universities
  • Two-year community colleges
  • Vocational and trade schools
  • Professional certifications and credential programs

How to get involved

  • Apply for a scholarship
Applications will open and close on specific dates set by our Education Fund team. A link will be added once the application is live.
  • Donate to the Education Fund
Individuals, civic groups, Greek organizations, foundations, and companies can support scholarships through an online donation link.

By investing in the Education Fund, you help Black girls move from opportunity to outcome and build a legacy of leadership and excellence.
